Newcastle are one of several European clubs showing interest in the playmaker ahead of a potential summer move, according to Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet.

Meanwhile, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano told CaughtOffside in his daily briefing that the 23-year-old might cost as much as £35m to any interested bidders in the upcoming transfer market, implying that a deal would not be cheap.

Liverpool and Arsenal are also interested in the Scandinavian star, hinting that the Magpies’ qualification for next season’s Champions League could be key.

According to Italian journalist Galetti, Newcastle want to “strengthen their squad in attack” before the new season begins, and Lindstrom might be in the Premier League as early as this summer.
