Newcastle and Fulham finally been link to sign Paris Saint-Germain sparking midfielder

Former Sunderland loanee Edouard Michut looks ready to leave PSG this summer, after the French club informed numerous young players that they are not in their plans.

Sunderland had the option to make Michut’s loan transfer permanent this summer after the midfielder appeared in 24 Championship games for the Black Cats, but the provision was not exercised.

PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos has notified numerous players, including Michut, that they would be able to go this summer, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.net.

The young players who have been declared surplus to requirements will not go with PSG’s senior squad on their pre-season tour to Japan.

Michut, 20, has two years left on his PSG contract after graduating from the club’s academy.

After Sunderland confirmed that Michut’s contract would not be extended, the midfielder told a French media outlet, “It’s been a very good season to develop, to be ready for future years because it’s a Championship that is still incredibly intense and technically complicated.”

“It took some time for me to start playing games, especially because of some physical issues as well as adjusting to a new football.” But I believe I made the right decision by joining Sunderland.

“The club offered me the chance to stay. It was entirely my choice to leave Sunderland. We couldn’t come to terms on several contractual issues. There were also a couple aspects of the game’s style that I didn’t like.

“I’m more of a player who touches 80 to 100 balls per game, and in this pattern, I’m only touching 50-60.” I appreciate the president’s understanding of my decision not to stay.”

Fulham have been linked with Michut in the Premier League, while Newcastle were linked with the Frenchman in January.
