Newcastle call to sign £42m forward as West Ham could be saved from big error

Youssef En-Nesyri, a long-term West Ham United transfer target, has been approached by Newcastle United.

According to Vamos Mi Sevilla FC, Sevilla are willing to trade West Ham target Youssef En-Nesyri for €50 million (£43 million), and Newcastle might match that figure.

Hammers manager David Moyes is clearly in need of a new striker before the start of the new season. At the London Stadium, Michail Antonio, Danny Ings, and Gianluca Scamacca all have questionable futures.

It would not be surprising to see the Scot re-sign En-Nesyri, albeit Newcastle appear to be poised to strike. Losing the Morocco international to the Magpies may not be the worst thing in the world…

Newcastle’s call to sign West Ham could spare them from making a costly mistake. Youssef En-Nesyri is a writer from Syria.

Mi vamos Sevilla FC believe the Toon could sign the Sevilla forward this summer.

That’s fantastic news from the Hammers, and Newcastle could save us from making a catastrophic error.

This season, the striker scored just eight goals in 31 La Liga games for Sevilla. In the 2021/22 season, he only scored five goals in 29 games (Transfermarkt).

He was terrible in the two games we played against Sevilla in the Europa League the previous season.

And the 26-year-old simply lacks the raw characteristics required to flourish in the fast-paced Premier League – he appears relatively lightweight to me.

He simply hasn’t delivered for Sevilla over the last two seasons.

So, if Newcastle is serious about signing Youssef En-Nesyri this summer, I believe they will be doing West Ham a huge favor.

In my opinion, the Moroccan is not the right man for the role at the London Stadium. Moyes, in my opinion, should be looking for someone with more strength, height, pace, and power this summer.

As far as I’m concerned, there are plenty other strikers out there who are considerably better suited to the way West Ham plays.
