Newcastle makes £22m bid for Brazilian electrifying striker as agent gives green light

Angelo Gabriel, a Santos wonderkid, will go to Europe sooner rather than later due to interest from Premier League giants Newcastle United and Liverpool, according to agent Marisa Alija.

Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo Goes, and Antony haven’t even reached their prime, and the next generation of Samba starlets is already rising in South America. Angelo Gabriel, along with Matheus Franca and Real Madrid-bound Endrick, continues to turn heads faster than a scurrying mouse darting through an owl enclosure.

Last year, Santos’ sporting director confirmed that Liverpool is keeping tabs on the Brazil U20 international.

Meanwhile, Newcastle is said to be testing the waters with a £22 million bid for a player who compares himself to Neymar and Ronaldinho.

“He is special and full of talent,” explains Alija; Gabriel’s rock-solid mentality ensures that he should avoid the sort of pitfalls that have claimed many a young talent.

“Above all, he is a golden youngster who exudes charisma, joy, and humility. He has a strong willingness to learn and listen to those with more expertise than him, and he is always training and developing.”

“With his talent and mindset, he has the potential to become one of the finest. He is a model professional who strives to push himself to new heights. He is a quick footballer who is technically powerful and entertaining to watch on the field, but he is also very intelligent and a team player. He is not selfish or self-centered. Not at all.”

“Angelo is a footballer known to all of the major clubs. It’s simply a matter of time (until he moves to Europe), particularly now that he’s 18.”

Gabriel, who can play on both wings, celebrated his 18th birthday in December. As such, if Santos were to accept Newcastle’s alleged £22 million offer, there would be nothing stopping Gabriel from boarding a flight to Tyneside before immediately linking up with Eddie Howe’s first-team squad.

‘I SEE MYSELF IN NEYMAR AND RONALDINHO’

“I’m fast. I like running at my opponent, dribbling past him, and going in on goal,” Gabriel explains, his ‘Cirque du Soccer’ style very much in those Jogo Bonito traditions.

“I see myself in Neymar, Robinho, and Ronaldinho. I recall the renowned Brazilian ‘tightrope walkers’. They motivate me. I’ve studied them well and am now attempting to replicate those plays on the field.

“Today I want to commit myself in Santos then, tomorrow, who knows? It is obvious that I would love to play in Europe’s most prominent venues. I’m picturing myself at the Santiago Bernabeu, San Siro, Camp Nou, and Parc des Princes.

“I want to play in the Champions League, La Liga, Serie A, the Premier League, and Ligue 1,” he says. How could I possibly reject it? But I know I still have a long way to go to get there.”
