Newcastle United might be one of the frontrunners to recruit Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich.
Mane is expected to depart the Bundesliga giants this summer, according to Sky Sports Germany and journalist Florian Plettenberg. Bayern Munich has “no future” for him.
Plettenberg remarked on Sky Sports Germany about Mane’s future: “Newcastle are very flexible on the left – sometimes Joelinton, sometimes Allan Saint-Maximin, sometimes Alexander Isak.”
“A Mane could undoubtedly help there.” Newcastle may be a very attractive choice.”
Surprisingly, Newcastle is vying for a spot in the top four. Qualifying for the Champions League and having wealthy owners is a frightening combination for their opponents.
Newcastle must increase the quality of its signings if they are to consistently fight for European status. Mane would make an excellent summer addition.
The winger, who left Liverpool last summer, has had a difficult season, but he is a valuable asset to any team competing at the top.
“I don’t want to say he could become one of the best players in the world,” Senegal coach Aliou Cisse said ahead of the World Cup.
“Because he is already among the best – you must emphasize this.”
Magpies fans must be nuts to have their side affiliated with such outstanding players. Mane posed a significant threat to Liverpool. He was instrumental in the club’s victories in the Champions League and the Premier League.
Newcastle has the budget to bring in these types of players, but they are lacking in quality on the wings. At the moment, striker Alexander Isak is filling in on the left.
If Newcastle does qualify for Europe, they will have to play a lot more games, thus they will need depth.
