Former Liverpool star Sadio Mane has refused to rule out a transfer to Newcastle, despite being linked with a return to the Premier League.
The Senegalese forward only joined Bayern Munich last summer, following a highly successful spell at Anfield. Bayern paid £35 million for Mane’s talents, with the 31-year-old signing a three-year contract at the Allianz Arena.
Despite a great start in which he scored 11 goals across all competitions, his move gradually devolved into a nightmare. He only scored one goal in the second half of the season and was suspended for a training ground brawl with teammate Leroy Sane.
Mane has been linked with a speedy return to the Premier League, with only English clubs anticipated to provide the kind of salary he would require.Liverpool have been associated with an emotional reunion, while Newcastle have been linked with interest as Eddie Howe looks to prepare his squad for the forthcoming Champions League season.

Mane does not appear to be completely opposed to the concept. According to Martin Callahan, a former British MEP who met the Bayern Munich player at an EITI International conference in Senegal.
He took to Twitter with a photo of the two and wrote, “I’m in Senegal speaking at the EITI conference.” It was an honor to meet Sadio Mane in the hotel. I couldn’t help but ask him about going to Newcastle the next season. His cryptic response: ‘Never say never!'”
During his debut season in the Premier League, Mane had a lot of success. After signing from RB Salzburg, he scored 25 goals in 75 games for Southampton.
That form led Liverpool to spend big money on him, and Mane has played an important part in the team under Jurgen Klopp. During a trophy-laden period on Merseyside, he won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, and more.
He added to that this season, as Bayern came from behind to beat fierce rivals on the final day of the season to capture yet another Bundesliga title. Surprisingly, his Senegal teammate Saliou Cisse believes Mane will find his form in Bavaria next season.
“Sadio has just joined a new league, a new environment,” he told Canal+. His injuries didn’t help matters.
“He will be able to overcome all of the problems and poor performances by next season.” Next season, we’ll see a new Sadio Mané.”
Jose Enrique, an ex-Liverpool player, has indicated that he would be an excellent signing for Newcastle this summer. “For me, it could be many options, but a number eight is what we [Liverpool] need the most,” he said on his YouTube page.
“Obviously, Jude Bellingham is no longer available.” It would be Frenkie De Jong for Liverpool and Mane for Newcastle.”
