Newcastle: £25 million At St James‘ Park, the Premier League star would be a ‘good option.’

Newcastle United has been linked with a move for Arsenal defender Tierney in recent days, and he ‘would be a good option’ for Eddie Howe’s charges, according to journalist Dean Jones.
Following the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenko at the Emirates Stadium this season, the 25-year-old has fallen down the pecking order and may seek greener pastures elsewhere in the summer.
Kieran Tierney has joined Newcastle United on loan.
Newcastle is ‘closely monitoring’ Tierney’s situation at Arsenal, according to Football Insider, because they are looking for a new left-back for next season.
The Scotland international joined Arsenal from his boyhood club Celtic in a £25 million deal in 2019.
Tierney signed a new five-year contract worth £110,000 per week in 2021, but injuries and Zinchenko’s impressive form have pushed him to the bench under Mikel Arteta.
Meanwhile, despite playing 6 foot 6 centre-half Dan Burn at left-back, Newcastle has been defying the odds recently.
However, Howe may not see Burn as a long-term solution in that area of the field, and Tierney may be the latest player to join Newcastle’s revolution.
Tierney is reportedly valued at £30 million by Arsenal, and Jones has stated that it would ‘absolutely make sense’ for Newcastle to have him on their radar.
In an interview with GMS, he said: “I think he would be a good option if they look to strengthen there. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with Tierney at the end of the season.
