Leicester newsfile.co.uk brings you the latest Leicester City news, including reports that Newcastle United is interested in signing James Maddison.
Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United team has told James Maddison where he would fit in, with the Magpies reportedly “looking at it.”
The England international has been a key figure in the Fox’s midfield in recent seasons.
Since joining from Norwich City in 2018, Maddison has scored 42 goals and provided 30 assists in nearly five years in the Premier League.
And, following his impressive performances since arriving at the King Power Stadium, the 26-year-old has been linked to Premier League rivals such as Newcastle, with football journalist Dean Jones claiming that “there is a chance” a move will take place.
“There is a chance,” he told the Chasing Green Arrows YouTube show. They’re taking a look at it. Where Maddison goes next is a big decision. I believe he admires Newcastle’s ambition. I believe he has a clear role in that team.
“From what I understand, Eddie Howe sees him as a creative outlet playing off the right.”
After the international break, Leicester City will face fellow relegation battlers Crystal Palace on Saturday, April 1.
