Newcastle United set to land young sensational player will high football qualities this summer

Yankuba Minteh of Newcastle United shone on his Feyenoord debut.

Yankuba Minteh, who made an impressive start for Feyenoord, appears to have been signed by Newcastle United. The 18-year-old Gambian winger scored for the Dutch team after coming on as a second-half replacement in Saturday’s 3-1 friendly victory over PEC Zwolle.

Minteh was given the chance to score from the spot as Feyenoord manager Arne Slot urged the teenager to take the penalty kick to cap out the comfortable win. The rookie made no mistake, smashing his penalty low and hard beyond the goalkeeper.

His debut performance has definitely excited Feyenoord supporters and local media, with many expecting Minteh will have a successful season in the Eredivisie. Martijn Krabbendam, a Voetbal International journalist and Feyenoord correspondent, is one of many who believe this.

“He was there like the chickens who grab that ball,” he stated at the end. “It was decided from the bench that Minteh would take the penalty kick, and he did it brilliantly.”

“He made a good first impression, I must say.” You pay close attention to particular details. [His] loose running style, pace, and viewpoints.

“He put four balls through for the striker, according to everyone who saw the game.” Of course, this player will only develop stronger and better. Feyenoord will thereafter have good reinforcement.”

Minteh joined the Magpies earlier this month but was quickly loaned out to the Dutch club in order for him to receive much-needed minutes in a competitive league. Garang Kuol, another Newcastle kid, is likely to do the same this summer.

The Australian spent the second half of last season with Hearts but failed to find game time in Scotland’s top flight. Another brief absence is predicted as the attacker seeks a new site.
