Newcastle United is continuing to make plans for the future, and the club is now looking to increase the number of scouts on its books.
Newcastle’s recruitment has been spot-on since the change in ownership, with some sensational signings.
Bruno Guimaraes, Sven Botman, and Alexander Isak should be around for a long time, and there have been some exciting youth additions.
Garang Kuol is expected to become a big star, and the Magpies beat off stiff competition to bring him to Tyneside.
Newcastle United are building a team capable of sustained success, with talent of all ages from all over the world, under the direction of Sporting Director Dan Ashworth.
That is the plan, and now the club are taking even more steps to improve their recruitment.
Newcastle advertise multiple global scouting jobs
On the job section of the club’s official website, there are multiple scouting positions available. Newcastle are looking for scouts from six different regions to help the club find players for the first-team and emerging talent.
The destinations that Newcastle are looking to scout in are:
- France
- Germany, Holland and Belgium
- Italy, Switzerland and Croatia
- Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark and Serbia
- Brazil, Colombia and Ecuador
- Argentina and Uruguay
Newcastle are looking to cover all bases and avoid missing out on emerging stars who could end up being worth a fortune.
This is something Ashworth did exceptionally well at Brighton, and they are reaping the benefits right now. They frequently sign unknown players for low salaries, and they develop into Premier League stars. That is why they are currently vying for our place in Europe.
Ashworth is now looking to do the same with Newcastle, ensuring that they don’t always have to spend big money on players who can make an immediate impact. They are looking for young talent who can still grow and develop.
That is exactly what we have with Garang Kuol, and there have been numerous attempts to enter the South American market. Andrey Santos and Maximo Perrone were heavily linked, while Matheus Franca and Vitor Roque remain unknown.
With more scouts on board, Newcastle will be able to find more players and become a stronger team. This is another exciting step forward in the hugely ambitious PIF project.
