According to Paul Merson of SportsKeeda, Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United should sign James Maddison from Leicester City during the summer transfer window.
The former Arsenal midfielder has stated that he admires Maddison and believes Newcastle should sign the England international.
Merson believes that the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia will close a deal for the 26-year-old.
Newcastle could finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, while Leicester faces relegation to the Championship at the end of the season.

“Maddison is a top-quality player who I’m a huge fan of – I think he’d be a fantastic signing for Newcastle,” Merson wrote.
In our opinion, Newcastle United would benefit greatly from signing James Maddison during the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old is one of the Premier League’s best and most creative players.
And we believe he would improve Eddie Howe’s team.
Leicester are unlikely to compete for a place in the UEFA Champions League any time soon, whereas Newcastle are on the rise.
A move to Newcastle could be very appealing to Maddison, who has nine goals and six assists in 19 Premier League appearances.
