Deion Sanders has been making headlines in the NFL lately as fans speculate about his potential transition from college football, particularly following his son Shedeur Sanders’ upcoming draft in 2025. In the light of swirling rumors, Coach Prime has stepped forward with a definitive response about returning to Texas.

Amid the Dallas Cowboys’ struggle on-field, many analysts have proposed the Colorado Buffaloes head coach’s name to replace Mike McCarthy following this season. While owner Jerry Jones has been adamant about not firing McCarthy mid-season, he may explore the idea of bringing in Sanders, considering his success in college football.

In the recent episode of FS1’s Speak, Michael Irvin brought up the topic and poked Sanders for a response.

You’re encouraging people to be better than they really are [in Colorado] and can I segue with that because no place needs people to encourage people to be better than they really are besides Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys.

However, Sanders dismissed the ongoing rumors about leaving college football with his son, claiming he is committed to Colorado.

Oh Lord, don’t start that. I love it where I am.

Deion Sanders remarked

Sanders may not be thinking about leaving the Buffaloes anytime soon, especially since the Cowboys haven’t shown any interest as well. However, the Billionaire owner of America’s team may convince his former star player to return as the new head coach if he finally listens to his fans and pundits, and lets go of McCarthy following this season.

Besides Ryan, sports analyst Stephen A. Smith has also suggested Sanders’ name to Dallas along with his son, Shedeur, who is making his debut in the 2025 NFL Draft. He advised them to tank the remaining season after Dak Prescott’s injury and prepare to get Shedeur with Coach Prime to end the Cowboys’ long-standing Super Bowl drought.
