Citta Celeste, an Italian publication, published an article today about Lazio goalkeeper Lus Maximiano, which includes a couple of intriguing claims for Nottingham Forest fans.
According to the outlet, the 24-year-old is one of the athletes who could leave the club in the summer due to his lack of playing time recently.
According to Citta Celeste, Maximiano had a chance to leave Lazio back in January, when Nottingham Forest made an offer for him.
The Reds reportedly offered’significant millions’ to sign the Portuguese goalkeeper, allowing Lazio to recoup the €10 million they paid for him last summer.
The issue is that manager Maurizio Sarri intervened to prevent the transfer because he was concerned about not having that option in the squad.
The summer scenario, on the other hand, should be different. According to reports, the manager will not ‘oppose’ Maximiano’s departure in the summer, despite the fact that the club already has a couple of replacements lined up.
If Nottingham Forest are still interested when Keylor Navas returns to PSG, that could be a good opportunity.
