Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in signing Stuttgart striker Silas Katompa Mvumpa as they aim to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

Adding to their attacking arsenal is essential, with Steve Cooper’s side missing frontman Taiwo Awoniyi due to injury. According to The Sun, the club is interested in DR Congo attacker Silas as a prospective addition to their squad.

He is valued at £20 million after scoring five goals in 30 Bundesliga games for a 16th-placed team. He is managed by the same agency as Forest midfielder Orel Mangala.The Reds are thought to have had the 24-year-old on their radar before, having followed him while he was at FC Paris before moving to Germany in 2019.

Forward Chris Wood will become Nottingham Forest’s first summer signing next week. When he made his third appearance for Newcastle United on loan, an obligation to purchase clause was activated, meaning his loan will become permanent when the transfer market opens.
