Big blow as Nottingham Forest suffer another huge injury setback to face Brentford

According to the Times, Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams will miss the rest of the season due to jaw surgery.

Williams helped Nottingham Forest overcome Brighton at the City Ground on Wednesday night, giving the Tricky Trees some hope of survival.

The 3-1 victory, however, came at a cost, and Williams is now certain to miss the rest of Forest’s season.

The former Liverpool star fractured his jaw and will be operated on later today.

As a result, he will be unavailable for selection by Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper for the remainder of the season.

Williams scored in Nottingham Forest’s loss to Liverpool at the weekend and will have no more chances to add to his tally this season.

He played 65 minutes against Brighton before getting injured and had to be substituted.

Williams will be hoping that when he is fit to return to action for Nottingham Forest, he will be doing so for a Premier League team rather than a Championship one.
