Andre Ayew didn’t have the best time of things last season at Nottingham Forest. Now, he’s got himself hooked up with a new club after being released from the City Ground at the end of 2022/23.
Ayew was a trusted player of Steve Cooper. He had overseen the player take the Championship by storm at Swansea and he fancied that he could have an impact at Forest
Instead, Ayew struggled badly to prove himself at Forest. He made 13 appearances for the club and failed to register a single goal or assist during his time at Forest.

At 33-years-old, the player is now in the twilight of his career. In truth, Forest probably only signed him last season as Taiwo Awoniyi picked up an injury that was to keep him out for a while.
Ayew has now headed to France to sign for Ligue 1 outfit Le Havre after leaving Forest. Interestingly, the French outfit are doing quite well too, currently sitting in seventh place in the table.
On Saturday, they claimed a decent point against Monaco and the club will hope that Ayew can find the way to goal and help them enjoy a solid campaign.
Forest right to let Ayew go
The Reds have moved on from Ayew and it wasn’t a signing that will live long in the memory. The experienced performer was clearly someone that Cooper liked as a character and perhaps his experience was useful as Forest secured survival.
