DONE DEAL: Nottingham Forest finally complete the signing of French professional centre back

Nottingham Forest is pleased to confirm that Willy Boly has signed a new contract with the club.

The defender has agreed a new one-year deal which keeps him at The City Ground until the summer of 2025, with the club option for a second year.

Boly has established himself as an important figure in the heart of Forest’s defence under Nuno Espírito Santo, playing an instrumental role in helping The Reds secure their top-flight status.

The 33-year-old provided an assist for Ryan Yates in Forest’s 3-1 win at Sheffield United, before rising highest to score against Chelsea at The City Ground earlier this month.

Boly, who made 21 appearances in all competitions this season, also won the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast in February, and has now agreed fresh terms with the club following the end of the 2023/24 season.

Willy Boly said: “I’m very happy to extend my stay at the club and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve next season.

“The support of the fans has been incredible and I can’t wait to continue playing in front of them.”

Chief Football Officer Ross Wilson added: “Willy has been an important player for our group, on and off the pitch.

“He is a popular figure around the training ground and we are all pleased that his time in Nottingham continues.”
