Latest Nottingham Forest news as Harry Redknapp makes his prediction for the upcoming Premier League game against Manchester City
Iconic football manager Harry Redknapp expects Manchester City to “ease past” Nottingham Forest at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
League leaders City, who have won all five of their Premier League games so far this season, host a Forest team who have picked up four points from their last two games. The Reds currently sit eighth in the table, with two wins and a draw from five fixtures.
Giving his predictions to BetVictor ahead of the match, Redknapp said Forest “deserve praise” for their start to the season, but has predicted a 3-1 victory for this weekend’s hosts. That’s despite an injury to playmaker Bernardo Silva in midweek.
Redknapp said: “Whilst Forest and Steve Cooper deserve praise for how their season has started, I think it will be another win for Man City at home. Pep may have to shuffle his deck once again with Bernardo Silva’s injury in midweek but with that strong core of Haaland, Alvarez, Rodri and co he can surely be expected to ease past a decent Forest side.”
It comes after fellow pundit Chris Sutton quipped that Erling Haaland will “probably score eight” goals against Forest this weekend, while predicting a 4-0 win. Good maths
