Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive, as Morgan Gibbs-White shines for England U21s.
Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest has been praised for his performance for England’s U21 team against France.
The Young Lions won 4-0, with Gibbs-White captaining the team and assisting Emile Smith Rowe shortly after halftime to open the scoring.
Gibbs-White has been a key player for Steve Cooper’s Reds this season, scoring two goals and providing five assists in the Premier League. The 23-year-old joined the City Ground from Wolves in the summer.
And, after receiving praise for his impressive assist against France, his performances for Forest appear to have carried over to the international game.
Andy Hiller: Hope you’re watching Southgate…
Daithí Ramone: That goal was all about @Morgangibbs27
Owen Barnard: Had a very good game, was a shame really he didn’t play after France made several changes because they looked a lot weaker once Cherki came off
Manmademegaphone: Lovely ball over the top for the goal, we need some of that
Smyles: Wears the shirt well
CityGroundShelf: Gibbs-White with a strong all round performance. An assist & now a substitution injury free. Beautiful stuff.
Jordan Hooley: Gibbs-White and Djed Spence are the best players on the pitch
DS215UK: Gibbs white playing in an attacking team with the u21 will hopefully bring him back into form
