The defender has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest since the January transfer window, according to the most recent Nottingham Forest transfer news.
According to rumours, Olympique Marseille are in ‘advanced’ talks with Nottingham Forest linked defender Romain Saiss.
Since the January transfer window, the Reds have been linked with the former Wolverhampton Wanderers center defender.Earlier this week, it was reported that Forest were planning to make a £3.4 million move for the player.
It now however seems that another club have taken the lead in the race for the 33-year-old. According to RMC Sport , Marseille are talking to both the player and his current club Besiktas over a possible summer move.
Negotiations are claimed to be at a ‘advanced’ level, and Saiss ‘wants’ to join the Ligue 1 team. The defender is allegedly in talks with the club about a two-year deal with the option of a third year.
The sum suggested between the two teams is thought to be about €4 million (£3.4 million), but if a deal is finalised, Marseille could wind up paying less. Saiss might join OM as a replacement for Manchester United loanee Eric Bailly, who will return to Old Trafford in the summer after a season on loan with the club.
