Nottingham Forest ask to pay huge big wages to land £20m star at the City Ground

Nottingham Forest may be willing to pay a high salary to get the Chelsea star to the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest may be willing to offer “big wages” to Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to transfer source Dean Jones.

The East Midlands club is one of the Premier League clubs linked with the 22-year-old.

Callum Hudson-Odoi joins Nottingham Forest on loan.

According to the same source, Steve Cooper is a “huge fan” of the player after working with him in the England U17 set-up, and Chelsea is willing to sell for roughly £20 million.

As well as Forest, Chelsea’s west London rivals Fulham are also thought to be keen on Hudson-Odoi.

The Cottagers have expressed an interest in signing the England international, according to the Guardian.

Jones believes Forest will blast the competition for Hudson-Odoi out of the water.

“I don’t think Forest are the only club interested in him,” the journalist told GIVEMESPORT. Fulham have been linked, but Forest have demonstrated in the past that they are willing to pay huge wages, and Callum Hudson-Odoi is currently on a reasonably decent wage at Chelsea that other clubs may not be able to match. So it all depends on how far Forest is willing to go. They’d certainly do well to obtain him.”

Yes, if Cooper wants a new winger at City Ground and they have the opportunity.

Hudson-Odoi’s loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen last season did not likely go as well as he had intended. According to Transfermarkt, he made only seven Bundesliga starts and failed to score a single league goal.

He’s been on a downward spiral since suffering a catastrophic Achilles tendon injury in 2019.

Hudson-Odoi, on the other hand, is still only 22 years old. He has plenty of time to rediscover his form and might end up being an excellent addition for Forest or another Premier League club.

According to Spotrac, the Chelsea player earns £120,000 a week at Stamford Bridge.

“High speed, quick recoveries, a lot of high-speed runs, a lot of high-speed dribbling,” former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was quoted by GOAL as saying about Hudson-Odoi’s qualities. “He’s good one-on-one and is always a threat to the last line.”
