Nottingham Forest battle Newcastle Utd in a hot battle to sign £27m versatile forward

During the mid-season transfer window, Forest’s strategy was pretty clear. It was clear that South American players were being targeted, with the domestic market typically including British tax and inflation rates given the time of year.

Giovani isn’t the only one who has Forest’s attention right now. According to the Brazilian report, Everton and Newcastle are also keeping tabs on the young Brazilian star.

Signing him will be difficult in the future as well. He is under contract with Palmeiras until 2026, and at 19 years old, they will want him to stay for a few more years.

Forest actually wanted to take Giovani on an initial six-month loan deal in January. The deal would have included an option to buy but it didn’t excite Palmeiras or the player’s representatives.

The gifted adolescent usually operates in the final third. He’s a versatile player who has scored once and assisted twice in 10 games this season.

Palmeiras are back in action this season. The champions have yet to lose in 12 league games and appear to be on track for another title defense.

Cabazaya’s undeniable talent is demonstrated in a YouTube video. During the montage, he is referred to as ‘unreal,’ and the player does appear to be a future star.

During January, the Reds were also in talks with Angelo Gabriel. He’s another youngster trying to make a name for himself in Brazil, and Forest appears to be eyeing South America.

Giovani will almost certainly want to play in Europe at some point. He does, however, have plenty of time on his hands, and it will be interesting to see what the summer has in store for him.
