Nottingham Forest chief finally reveals transfer plan to sign £35m striker

Nottingham Forest transfer news from NottinghamshireLive, as the owner of Udinese says it will be “impossible” to keep Reds target Beto in the summer transfer window.

Nottingham Forest transfer target Beto will be “impossible to keep” during the summer transfer window, according to his club’s owner.

Forest are expected to make a “monstrous offer” for the 25-year-old, who is expected to depart Udinese in the coming weeks for a sum of up to £35 million. That is the reported value of his release clause, which may trigger a bidding war.

A number of prominent Italian teams are rumoured to be interested in signing the Portuguese attacker, and Udinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo has made an uneasy admission concerning his star player’s future.

“He has great potential and is still young,” Pozzo said to Gazzetta dello Sport. “However, if a big-name offer comes in, it will be impossible to keep him.”

Everton reportedly failed with a £20 million deal in January, while Napoli is also apparently interested in the forward. That is hardly surprising given his 21 goals in 46 starts for his team.

“He has the potential to be a footballer in the mold of Victor Osimhen.”
