Nottingham Forest manager is said to be under pressure as the club fights relegation from the Premier League.
Full-back for Nottingham Forest When questions about Steve Cooper’s future were raised earlier in the season, Harry Toffolo said the club was correct to stand by him.
The Reds’ manager was under pressure at the City Ground following a disappointing start to the season that saw them finish bottom of the Premier League table. Instead of dismissing Cooper, Forest gave him a new contract.
As a result of the improved form and results, Forest moved away from the relegation zone. Due to recent results, the Reds have been dragged back into the fight for survival.

It has fueled speculation about Cooper’s future, with the manager reportedly under pressure. Toffolo, who has struggled to find regular game time since moving from Huddersfield to Forest in the summer, has praised the Reds’ manager.
“The respect I have — let alone the city and club — for Steve is incredible. He’s a man’s man and a loyal person who I’ve so much time for,” Toffolo told the Sun. “I know we live in a results-led business but sometimes you look at the person and think that’s someone you want to work for.
“He checks all the boxes, as does the entire coaching staff.” Alan Tate, Jamie Robinson, Andy Reid, and goalkeeping coach Danny Alcock. They’re all wonderful people.
“Every day, you look forward to seeing them.”
Forest are one of three teams in the relegation zone that have not changed managers this season, joining Leicester City and West Ham.
“We’ve seen new managers have come into teams around us and how many points some of them have picked up,
Toffolo went on to say. “However, you must also consider how many points we gained when the gaffer got his new contract.” It was incredible.
“Loyalty isn’t often discussed, but this club has shown Steve that, and rightly so.” He’s the driving force behind everything we do here. On and off the field, he is highly regarded.
“On a personal level, he’s been excellent. You enjoy conversing with him as a person. That is a critical step.
“If you enjoy talking to someone, you have their attention, and they have yours.” Everything seems to be more productive.”
