Nottingham Forest Director tip to sign Peru international speed winger Bryan Reyna

Bryan Reyna, a Peruvian international, ‘deserves’ to have Premier League admirers, with Nottingham Forest apparently interested in the Allianz Lima winger.

The smooth 24-year-old has resumed up where he left off at the start of the new season after a brilliant 2022 season in Peru’s top flight.Bryan Reyna has scored or assisted on a goal in nearly half of his team’s 11 Liga 1 games this season.

Form that has apparently drawn the attention of a Nottingham Forest side already familiar with the Peruvian market. Both Braian Ojeda and Brandon Aguilera migrated to the City Ground from South America, but Reyna hopes to have a bigger impression than either of the aforementioned duo if he ends up working alongside Steve Cooper in the East Midlands.

“(The interest) is completely deserved by Bryan.” Not only for his work at Allianz Lima, but also for his contributions to Peru. “He is a very good player,” sporting director Jose Bellina said, according to Libero.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate him on everything he’s accomplished.”

Bellina, on the other hand, says that no official ‘offers’ have yet arrived on his desk. That could soon change, though, with Peruvian daily Depor reporting that Allianz Lima may be willing to listen to proposals as low as £1.2 million.

For a Premier League club, this is pennies on the dollar.

There hasn’t been any formal offer. There have been some surveys and dialogues. “They often come from intermediaries, agents who show you that there are clubs interested in the player,” Bellina continues.

“However, it appears logical to me because he is a player who stands out a lot.” He is of a respectable age and in a highly valuable position.

“Although there is no formal offer, we understand the players’ hopes and dreams.” And the expectations they have for their personal development.

“However, we must also consider whether a sale benefits the club.”

Reyna is a left-winger who is most lethal when cutting inside onto his right foot. The three-cap forward might be considered as a potential successor for Emmanuel Dennis at Forest.

6/10 rumour rating – Bryan Reyna appears to be both affordable and reachable, though confirmation of Forest’s interest from more’reliable’ sources would be appreciated.
