Sheffield United have the opportunity to drag Nottingham Forest deep into the relegation zone on Saturday afternoon at Bramall Lane.
The Blades suffered yet another thrashing at the hands of Newcastle United last weekend when the Magpies’ 5-1 victory ensured Chris Wilder’s side were officially relegated from the Premier League. But with a win against Forest, coupled with a Burnley win over Newcastle, could see Nuno Espirito Santo’s men drop into second bottom. That’s of course if Luton Town can come out on top when they host Everton on Friday night.
Nottingham Forest’s injury list ahead of crucial Sheffield United clash
Coming into this crucial fixture for Forest they are facing several injury concerns. Key names such as: Willy Boly, Neco Williams, Murillo, Nicolas Dominguez, and Taiwo Awoniyi, are all carrying injuries.
Speaking after Forest’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City, Nuno Espirito Santo explained the latest fitness issues regarding his players: “Let’s assess them. Neco (Williams), Murillo and Boly – we have a lot of things to assess. Hopefully it is nothing serious and we can count on them for the next one, because it is important,” via Nottingham Post.
It’s always a thiesty affair when Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest lock horns, and the Blades could deal a real dagger to the Reds’ survival hopes this weekend with only three games remaining.
