Arsenal are among the clubs who admire Morgan Gibbs-White of Nottingham Forest, though there’s nothing concrete in the links at the moment.
Fabrizio Romano reports in his Daily Briefing that Arsenal appreciate Morgan Gibbs-White, but they haven’t made contact with Nottingham Forest at this stage.
There’s nothing imminent or concrete in the links between Gibbs-White and Arsenal, and whether or not Forest remain in the Premier League may prove pivotal.
Until we know whether or not they avoid relegation, we’re unlikely to get a significant update on a potential transfer.
As it stands, Forest are in the relegation zone, one point behind 17th-place Luton Town.
Latest Arsenal injury updates and news
Forest had been just outside of the bottom three, but their recent punishment for a breach of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules saw them deducted four points.
The club could get be boosted back out of the relegation zone by the verdict in Everton’s second PSR case.
Everton have already been deducted six points, and if they were deducted six points again for their second breach then they would end up below Forest, with only four points currently separating them.
If Forest end up going down, you’d expect Gibbs-White to move on, and there will probably be a number of Premier League suitors for his services.
Perhaps Arsenal will be among them, but for the time being they’ve just shown a bit of admiration for the player.
