Several clubs have scouted Genk winger Mike Tresor, including Nottingham Forest. The Belgian is a wanted man, and the Reds are keen to sign the player who has seven goals and 18 assists in the 2022/23 season.
Tresor will be wanted this summer.
Burnley, Wolves, Leicester, Brighton, and Brentford have all been keeping an eye on him in recent months, according to 90Min.
It’s March, and the Reds are already being linked with more players. That comes as no surprise given that Forest have made 30 new signings since winning promotion to the Premier League.
Tresor has been with Genk since signing from Willem II in 2021. Prior to that, he played for Anderlecht and NEC Nijmegen, earning six Belgium Under-21 caps along the way.
The 23-year-old is under contract with Genk until 2025, so signing him in the summer will be difficult. Given his goal contributions this season, his current club will almost certainly demand top dollar for his services.
Tresor has really matured during this campaign. With clubs all over Europe interested in his services, it’s only a matter of time before he leaves Genk.
This would be a fantastic acquisition for the Reds. They’d have to compete with some big clubs to sign him, but if they stay in the Premier League, they’ll have a good chance.
He could be ideal for the Reds as well. Forest has relied far too heavily on Brennan Johnson this season, and he requires assistance.
Tresor typically plays on the left side, and he and Morgan Gibbs-White could be the final piece of a feared trio for next season.
The youngster still has his best years ahead of him, but he’s already displaying incredible talent. As a result, Forest must enter the race to sign Tresor head-on.
