The latest Premier League transfer rumours as a battle commences between Wolves, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest.
Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly monitoring the progress of Brazil international goalkeeper Bento but face fierce competition from Premier League rivals Chelsea and Nottingham Forest.
The 24-year-old impressed on his Seleçao Canarinha debut at Wembley Stadium on Saturday as kept a clean sheet in a surprise 1-0 win over England. Bento twice kept out efforts on target from Newcastle United winger and Three Lions debutant Anthony Gordon, while Manchester City star Phil Foden was denied once.
Serie A champions-to-be Inter Milan were close to signing Bento in January but the shot-stopper stayed at Brazilian side Athletico Paranaense. That dialogue could be recommenced in the summer window but interest from the Premier League could prompt a transfer to England instead.
HITC exclusively reports Wolves and Forest, both often involved in the South American market, have made Bento a priority target. Chelsea, meanwhile, have added the player to their list as they look to replace Robert Sanchez, somewhat of a flop since signing from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Bento, who has conceded just six goals and kept five clean sheets in 11 Campeonato Paranaense appearances in 2024, has a current market value of around €12 million (£10.3 million), per Transfermarkt. The Curitiba-born glovesman’s contract runs until December 31, 2026.
