The latest Nottingham Forest news as the Brentford boss has provided the latest on his squad ahead of the Premier League clash at the City Ground.
Brentford will be without a few players for the Premier League trip to the City Ground this weekend, as Thomas Frank has given the latest update.
Brentford go into the game against Nottingham Forest looking to turn around their current form. They fell to a 3-1 defeat against Everton in their last league outing and are now winless in their last four Premier League games.
Forest, meanwhile, have had a positive start to the season, despite a 2-0 loss against Man City in their last outing. Steve Cooper ’s men have won two, drawn one and lost three of their opening six games in the league and currently sit in 12th place.
Ahead of the game at the City Ground, Brentford have confirmed that Ben Mee, Shandon Baptiste and Josh Dasilva will miss the game through injury. Three other players have also undergone surgery this week with Kevin Schade (adductor), Rico Henry (knee) and Mikkel Damsgaard all going under the knife.
Giving his latest injury update, Frank provided the latest on Damsgaard. “He saw a knee specialist and had a minor operation this week,” he said.
“They cleaned the knee and hopefully that’s the bit that will help him. We hope he will be back soon, but there is no timeframe. We will see how things settle down and then we will see how close he is.”
Forest have been boosted by the news that injury to Nuno Tavares is not as bad as first feared , although he could still be a doubt for the match vs Brentford. Midfielder Danilo and Felipe continue their recovery from longer-term injuries.
