According to a report by L’Équipe, Romain Faivre (26) is set to join Stade Brestois from AFC Bournemouth. The French midfielder is expected to arrive in Brittany in the next few hours ahead of a paid loan which will see the English club receive €3 million.
For Faivre, it will be a return to a club he had previously represented from 2020 until 2022 when he left to join Olympique Lyonnais. Faivre only spent six months at Lyon before being loaned out to FC Lorient. A move from Lyon to Bournemouth followed in 2023 which saw another loan back in Brittany with Lorient.

However, Faivre struggled in the Lorient team where he was thought to have clashed with Régis Le Bris. The midfielder was one of the players that the manager called out during a team meeting ahead of the winter transfer window, and he was recalled to Bournemouth in late January.
