Malik Washington’s “toughness” as a receiver could make him a steal candidate for the Titans in the NFL Draft.

Former Virginia wide receiver Malik Washington said he’s ready to make an immediate impact in the NFL. With his ability to extend plays and gain extra yards, Washington could be a mid-round option for the Tennessee Titans in the NFL Draft. This terrain cannot be taught after occupation. It’s just the mentality, the attitude,” Washington said Friday at the NFL Scouting Combine.

“But I also think as my rookie season approaches, I’m ready to start now. I don’t want to wait, I don’t want to take it easy, I want to earn this spot now. The team needs someone who can make an immediate impact, and I can do that.

Washington confirmed it held private talks with the Titans this week.

Washington finished the 2023 season at the University of Virginia with 110 catches for 1,426 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He averaged 6.4 yards per catch.

He’s exactly the receiver the Titans need, especially if they can get him in the later rounds of the draft. He may not be Will Revis’ top target, but his reliable hands and ability to extend plays will be a great asset to an offensive line lacking in talent.

“He tried seriously to get caught by at least one guy. I can’t do that. When your head is confused. Think about the man fighting me. I knew from an early age that he could do more with every play he made on the field. Every time you catch the ball, something different happens. … “Give me five more yards of the ball and I’ll score 40 points.”

General manager Ran Carton and Callahan have discussed adding playmakers to the roster. Washington could be a candidate to fill this hole. Similar Titans Stories
