Tennessee Titans Rank 18th for Players’ Working Conditions on NFLPA Team Report Cards

The NFLPA said the Titans “ranked around league average in each category, so they do not excel in any of the areas surveyed.” The Titans were also ranked 18th at the end of the 2022 season. According to the NFLPA, Tennessee has two issues to resolve.

Team Travel received an F rating. “Athletes have to sit in the back of the plane, many of whom cannot fit into their seats, while staff sit in first class,” the report said. The Titans are also one of seven teams in the NFL that force their players to share hotel rooms. Second, Titans players were unhappy with ‘Nissan Stadiums switch from natural turf to artificial turf for the 2023 season.

“Consistent with the reaction of NFL players when asked about the field’s surface (92% said they preferred natural grass to synthetic turf), Titans players were disappointed when they switched from grass to synthetic turf. “They said they did,” the survey shows. The Titans earned a perfect B+ grade in four categories: ownership, head coach, strength coach and weight room.

The players anonymously filled out a survey in August. Nov. 28-14, 2023, before the Titans fired former coach Mike Vrabel. This report does not reflect Brian Callahan and his team.

Treating Families earned him a D+ rating, ranking him 17th in the league. The Titans do not offer a family room on game days, but they do offer child care.
