Tottenham intensify their search for a “new Harry Kane” with Paratici playing a key role. Prem Ace fits perfectly
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly stepping up their search for a full-time striker to replace Harry Kane, with Ange Postecoglou potentially making a bid for Evan Ferguson or the Serie A star.
Kane left his beloved Tottenham last summer to join German giants Bayern Munich in a deal initially worth €100m (about £86.4m), but could rise to £103m with additions.
The centre-forward has been in great form since arriving in Germany, scoring 31 goals and providing eight assists in just 32 appearances.
Since Kane’s departure, Postecoglou has typically used either Richarlison or Son Heung-min as his primary offensive coordinator, with James Maddison rarely playing the No. 1 role. Son has shown incredible speed, scoring 13 goals in 24 appearances this season, while Richarlison has been an impressive scorer, scoring nine times in eight Premier League games between December 10th and February 3rd.

However, Postecoglou hopes Tottenham will bring in a new striker this summer to revamp their attack. According to Football Insider, Spurs are stepping up efforts to sign such players.
He is hoping to find a new Kane who can help develop the attack by linking plays while scoring regularly. Paratici helps Tottenham find striker
Interestingly, former Spurs sporting director Fabio Paratici has a say in the north London side’s selection of strikers. He works as a consultant at Spurs and has the trust of Daniel Levy, despite replacing Johan Lange as technical director.
The report does not mention any specific players Spurs believe could replace Kane’s influence or targets. However, there is good reason to believe that Brighton & Hove Albion star Ferguson will feature prominently in Spurs’ consciousness. Ferguson is similar to Kane in that he is a good combination player and can score with both his feet and head.
At 19 years old, he is already a deadly striker and can score goals from anywhere, not just inside the penalty area. His youth gives him enough time to develop into a top-class striker.
Ferguson’s results at Brighton are unimpressive, with 16 goals in 61 appearances, but the England captain only started scoring regularly for Spurs at the age of 21, so it’s a sign of his development. He’s better than Kane in terms of points. Spurs are in a good position to sign Evan Ferguson
Manchester United and Chelsea appear to have prioritized Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, while Arsenal are pushing for Brentford keeper Ivan Toney, so Spurs could sign Ferguson for free this summer.
The only problem for Spurs is that Brighton will likely demand £100m before allowing the Ireland international to leave. Because they already know he’s the next big thing.
This means Spurs will either make a fortune by signing Ferguson for a huge sum, or they will go in another direction. If he decides to pursue other goals, one of his options would be Bologna’s Joshua Zirksee
. Zirksee has impressed at Bologna, showing the kind of consistent performances Spurs are looking for in their next striker. The Dutchman is also a great scorer, scoring 11 goals in 29 appearances this season. Unfortunately for Spurs, Manchester United have taken notice of Zirkzee’s huge potential and the Red Devils have sent scouts to keep an eye on him this weekend.
