Tottenham plotting a move for Leicester City playmaker James Maddison after a great international pair with Harry Kane

During the summer transfer window, Daniel Levy is interested in signing James Maddison from Leicester City.

Spurs want to sign Leicester City’s cunning midfield maestro, who is also a target for Newcastle, regardless of who replaces Antonio Conte as manager.

There were glimpses of what the 26-year-old can do alongside Harry Kane last month when they lined up for England against Ukraine, but that creative sense of adventure has been sadly lacking at Spurs.

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Glenn Hoddle has long advocated for the signing of Maddison, and the club’s hierarchy is ready to deliver.

Of course, this will not satisfy fans’ demands, and there is still no guarantee Kane will stay at Tottenham this summer.

Tottenham has been after Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi for the past two transfer windows and will try again this summer.

A top goalkeeper, such as David Raya of Brentford, is also required. Raya, described by Jurgen Klopp as a keeper who “could wear the No. 10 shirt,” is in high demand and keeping his options open, which will delight his former club Blackburn, who have a sell-on clause.

Tottenham are also looking for a new manager after Conte left by mutual agreement last month.

Conte’s number two Cristian Stellini has been named acting head coach in place of Ryan Mason.
