His wicked deliveries from the left flank could undoubtedly be utilised to good effect at a club with more reliable forwards; Sosa assisting 31 Bundesliga goals in three seasons for a largely failing side.

Is Borna Sosa on his way to the Premier League?

Sosa has already said ‘goodbye’ to his Stuttgart teammates, according to BILD via BuliNews, with Tuesday’s 3-1 second leg win over HSV set to be his final appearance for the 2007 Bundesliga champions.

“Every player sets goals for himself in his career. “I want to play in a team that is represented in Europe if possible,” Sosa recently told BILD, shortly after a January trade to Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen fell through.

“Like many other players, I aspire to play in the Premier League one day.” It is the world’s most powerful league. Other than the big six best clubs, the other teams are also strong.”

Only one of Newcastle, West Ham, and Tottenham finished in Europe last season: Eddie Howe’s Magpies.

However, all three clubs appear to be looking for a left-sided defender. Sosa, like Arsenal’s Kierney Tierney, has the push and crossing ability to succeed at St James’ Park, while West Ham require a left-back capable of imitating Aaron Cresswell’s flair on the flank.

Tottenham, now managed by Ange Postecoglou, could lose Ivan Perisic, a former Inter Milan midfielder who is very much a ‘Conte’s man’.

Spurs do have Destiny Udogie on loan from Udinese.

Tottenham, according to BILD reporter Christian Falk, began talks with Sosa a few months ago.
