Ange Postecoglou ‘problem’ mooted at Tottenham as footage emerges from Ipswich defeat

Bryan King has suggested that Ange Postecoglou must turn things around at Tottenham before he creates a “problem” for himself.

The ex-Spurs scout believes the 59-year-old must “quell” the restlessness among fans as soon as possible.

It comes after footage shared via Chris Cowlin on X (10 November) showed Postecoglou displeased with something a supporter shouted at him after the 2-1 Premier League defeat to Ipswich Town at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (10 November), a match which left Jamie O’Hara fuming.

And King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has suggested the only way to combat this is by winning games.

“Postecoglou certainly has to start putting some results together,” King said.

“Otherwise, he will be creating a problem for himself. You’re always going to get one or two who are never satisfied. That is all part of the game.

“I think Postecoglou has been in the game long enough to not worry about it. However, when something like that starts, you want to quell it as soon as you can and to do that you need to keep winning games.

“As long as you’re winning, you won’t get these incidents. However, the moment you start losing games like the one against Ipswich, fans are going to become restless.”

Tottenham supporters turning against Ange Postecoglou?

Teams can lose matches, that is part of football. However, when you hand a team their first Premier League win of the season, for the second time in one campaign, questions are going to be asked.

And it appears as though some fans are less than pleased with Postecoglou.

While the idea of sacking the Australian might seem premature, talks have been speculated between Levy and Postecoglou.

However, for now, it looks as though he will remain in charge, but if he wants to keep his job, he needs to start getting his Spurs team to perform more consistently.
