Ange Postecoglou set to make £120m triple transfer deal as huge plan to keep Harry Kane

Ange Postecoglou will be striving for Champions League qualification in his first season as Tottenham manager.

Ange Postecoglou’s strategy to restore Tottenham Hotspur might be accelerated with just three new signings. The Lilywhites had a busy start to the summer transfer window, bringing in three new players, and they show no signs of stopping down.

Daniel Levy began by signing long-term contracts with Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro in north London. While they struggled to make an impression under Antonio Conte, they are anticipated to thrive for Spurs this season as Postecoglou reintroduces free-flowing, attractive football.

As part of Tottenham’s rebranding on the pitch, the Australian has also acquired a new goalkeeper, creative midfielder and winger. With Postecoglou eager to instil a progressive, forward-thinking play-style, Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison and Manor Solomon are transformative signings who could prove significant in the race for Champions League qualification.

Spurs face stiff competition for the top four, and keeping Harry Kane could be the determining factor. Prior to Fabio Paratici’s departure in April, football.london learned that Spurs had been in contact with the 29-year-old striker’s entourage to discuss a new contract.

Kane is said to be in no hurry to sign an extension while weighing his alternatives. Tottenham must do all it takes to persuade the Englishman to stay, whether that means spending £120 million on Conor Gallagher, Mick van de Ven, and Edmond Tapsoba this summer, as a free agent next year, or signing a new contract later this season.

Football.london reports that Gallagher is pondering his future at Chelsea after receiving interest from a number of Premier League clubs. Tottenham are rumored to be interested in the 23-year-old midfielder, with Postecoglou a great fan.

Newcastle United and West Ham United are also interested in Gallagher, whose contract at Stamford Bridge expires in two years. After offloading N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, and Mason Mount from their midfield this summer, it remains to be seen whether Mauricio Pochettino will attempt to cash in on the Cobham graduate.

Van de Ven and Tapsoba, on the other hand, have recently been extensively linked with a move to Tottenham as Postecoglou attempts to finally improve the Lilywhites’ backline.Spurs have held talks about the duo, according to football.london, with Dutch media reporting that negotiations over personal terms with the Wolfsburg star’s camp have reached an advanced stage.

While the Bayer Leverkusen star is seen as the more ready-made alternative for Tottenham, sources in Germany say he might cost as much as £50 million – £20 million less than Van de Ven.

Keeping Kane will come at a cost. Perhaps demonstrating incredible desire with three great acquisitions will encourage him to stay after all…
