Tottenham Hotspur are among the Premier League clubs interested in signing Flamengo striker Pedro this summer.
According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, Nottingham Forest and Brentford are also big fans of the 26-year-old.
Pedro has attracted attention following an impressive performance in Brazil. The Selecao forward has 26 goals in all competitions. And, like with Richarlison, he was a member of Tite’s World Cup squad last year.
He’s previously performed throughout Europe. He did, however, leave Fiorentina after only a few games in Serie A.
Nonetheless, it appears that he will have the opportunity to return to the continent in the near future.According to Tuttomercatoweb, Tottenham, Forest, and the Bees are all interested in Pedro.
Meanwhile, Al-Hilal is looking to bring the forward to the Saudi Pro League. According to the report, Flamengo has yet to receive a formal offer for him.
It would not be surprising to see Tottenham connected with a number of forwards in the coming weeks as talk about Harry Kane’s future persists.
And Ange Postecoglou has a track record of finding hidden gems in the market. So it wouldn’t be surprising if he was well aware of Pedro’s ability.
He is a prolific goalscorer for Flamengo, having scored 93 goals in 190 games across all competitions. Former Brazil international Magno Alves, on the other hand, has previously stated that ‘he’s got everything’.
It will be interesting to watch if the relations with Tottenham are strengthened in the coming weeks. He is unlikely to be the player many Spurs fans would like to replace Kane if he leaves. However, if Postecoglou wants him, the bulk of his followers will be willing to put their faith in his judgment.
