Another £180k-a-week Spurs key player shown the exit door after hot disagreement with board

Ivan Perisic is desperate to quit Tottenham and rejoin Hajduk Split in Croatia.

That is according to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, who was speaking about the left-footer on Last Word on Spurs.

There have been rumblings about Perisic wishing to leave Spurs for some time, and according to Sheth, all of the rumours have originated from sources close to the 34-year-old.

Indeed, Sheth claims that Perisic is pressing to leave Spurs, but the ultimate choice will be made by the club.

Sheth revealed his knowledge of the former Inter player.

“The Perisic one is very interesting because it is all coming from the player’s side right now; he wants to leave and play for Hajduk Split in Croatia.” He has one year left on his contract, he can say anything he wants, but this is in Tottenham’s hands, and Perisic will depart on Tottenham’s terms,” Sheth stated.

Allow him to leave.

Perisic wants to leave Tottenham, and there’s no use in Tottenham trying to keep him.

It is never worthwhile to have a player at your club who does not want to be there, let alone one earning £180,000 per week and playing in the Premier League.

Indeed, Perisic is best used as a left wing-back, and with Ange Postecoglou expected to switch to a flat back four this season, Perisic is unlikely to get much action.

The player wants to leave, he’s no longer needed at the club, and he’s paid well; all indications point to this decision making perfect sense.
