Another long serving £13m Tottenham star shown exit door despite impressing Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou, manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has stated that club captain Hugo Lloris has impressed in training but may leave the club this summer.

Postecoglou was speaking to the media for the first time since arriving in Australia as part of their pre-season tour, via Football London.

As he assesses his possibilities for the forthcoming season, the Australian coach has assembled a very formidable group.

The French World Cup winner has been a fixture in Tottenham’s lineup for almost a decade.

Since joining Tottenham, Ange Postecoglou has been impressed with Lloris in training.

The £13 million goalkeeper was offered the option of participating in the tour while he considers his future.

He’ll be cheering on his teammates from the other side of the globe as they prepare for another Premier League season.

Postecoglou was impressed by Lloris in training as he neared the end of his career.

When asked about Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris, Postecoglou replied, “I had a really good chat with Hugo.” I left it up to him whether or not he wanted to come along since I thought he earned it.

“I’ve only spoken with him a few times, but I’ve seen how good he is in training.”

“With all that he’s contributed, it’s probably not how he wanted to end his time at Tottenham, but it’s a positive.” He’s made so many contributions.”

This summer, Postecoglou moved quickly to replace Lloris, bringing in Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario before pre-season training.

The Italian has enormous shoes to fill since, while Lloris struggled at times last season, he’s made some fantastic saves in his time.

Vicario should be more comfortable with the ball at his feet, which was Lloris’ biggest issue.

It’s a sign of how Postecoglou wants his club to play in the upcoming season.

Tottenham Hotspur fans will not have to wait long to see their new goalie in action.

Unfortunately, it looks that their last chance to say goodbye was at halftime during last season’s drubbing at Newcastle.
