Arnaut Danjuma takes a shot at Antonio Conte after Tottenham’s departure is confirmed

Arnaut Danjuma, who is due to depart Tottenham this summer, has become the fourth Tottenham player to criticize Antonio Conte.

According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham will not exercise their £27 million option to buy Danjuma, who came on loan from Villarreal in January.

The 26-year-old was poised to join Everton when Tottenham hijacked the deal, and he immediately endeared himself to the fans with a debut goal against Preston in the FA Cup.

However, he only scored one more goal, ironically against old club Bournemouth, and was only afforded 12 appearances to make an impression, 11 of which were as a substitute.

The majority of these occurred under interim managers Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason, with Conte only allowing Danjuma 49 minutes of playing time before sacking him in March.

Despite his limited playing time, Danjuma has no ill will against Tottenham and its fans, though his farewell letter did include a jab at the Italian manager and, to a lesser extent, his successors.

‘To all Spurs fans, it is very difficult to sum up the season we’ve all enjoyed in words,’ the Dutch international wrote on social media. Many highs and lows, but I tried to give it my all for you at all times.

My comeback to the Premier League was unimpressive. I’d be dishonest if I didn’t admit that I was dissatisfied with how the season ended for the team, the supporters, and myself.

‘I have demonstrated and know that I have the potential to influence games and make a major difference, and if I could turn back the clock and be given the opportunity to showcase that, I would without a doubt.

‘Putting my displeasure aside, I am quite aware of the warm welcome I have got from the fans, whose unwavering support for me has absolutely astounded me. Similarly, the welcome from the club, players, and staff has been heartwarming to say the least.

‘What does tomorrow mean if it is the same as today? Only through life’s difficulties will we be able to discover peace.

‘As a result, this is not a farewell note. Never. The trip we took together will live on in my mind, body, and heart forever.

‘Thank you to every fan who yelled my name, every person who clapped for me, and every kid who went up to me for an autograph. In sha Allh, until we meet again.’
