Brennan Johnson has been discussing some of the best strikers in world football history.
Speaking to BBC Sport Wales, the Tottenham striker has been asked to rank and rate some of the best attacking players in the game.
Interestingly, Johnson showed a bit of bias here towards a Tottenham legend.
Indeed, Johnson named Harry Kane as one of the best in the world, putting him ahead of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and even his own father, David Johnson.
Brennan Johnson hails Harry Kane
The Tottenham attacker spoke highly of Kane 12 months on from his departure at Tottenham.
“Cristiano Ronaldo or Harry Kane?” Johnson was asked.
“Harry Kane,” Johnson said.
“Kane or David Johnson?”
“I’m going to go Harry Kane, just,” Johnson said.
“Kane or Haaland?”
“Harry Kane,” Johnson replied.
“Kane or Mbappe?”
“Harry Kane,” Johnson claimed.
Harry Kane could’ve played with Brennan Johnson
Johnson is clearly a massive fan of Harry Kane, and it’s a real shame that these two never got to play with one another at Spurs.
The Wales international joined Tottenham just weeks after Kane departed, and it’s interesting to ponder how these two would’ve played together.
Kane as always so good at dropping deep and playing passes in behind for his teammates running through, and, for that reason, he’d probably strike up a great partnership with Johnson.
Johnson is brilliant when it comes to running in behind and stretching his defences with his pace, while Kane is arguably the best in the business when it comes to picking out passes to on-rushing runners.
Of course, whether or not Kane is actually better than the likes of Haaland, Mbappe or Ronaldo is up for debate, but his goalscoring record over the past few years speaks for itself.
Kane needs to win trophies in order to be in that conversation, but in terms of individual talent, he’s up there with the best.
Kane is one of the greatest strikers of all-time, there’s no doubt about that.
