Daniel Levy finally made £12m transfer demand as PSG and spur still in hot negotiations

Hugo Lloris of Tottenham Hotspur is wanted by Paris Saint-Germain, but Daniel Levy expects a fee.

Hugo Lloris is being pursued by Paris Saint-Germain this summer, but leaving Tottenham Hotspur may prove difficult.

According to the Daily Record, PSG is interested in bringing Lloris back to France.

The goalkeeper’s representatives are said to be seeking for a free move out of Tottenham this summer.

Daniel Levy, on the other hand, has no such ambitions, and the Tottenham chairman is seeking a transfer price from the French giants.

This leaves a return to France uncertain, with Tottenham perhaps standing in the way.

Hugo Lloris has been an outstanding servant for Tottenham since coming from Lyon in 2012 for a fee of £12 million.

The 36-year-old has approximately 450 appearances for Tottenham and has been the club’s first-choice goalkeeper for over ten years.

Lloris, on the other hand, has certainly reached the end of his career as a top goalkeeper, and last season was unpleasant to watch in times.

Tottenham have already signaled a change of guard by acquiring Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Vicario will almost certainly be the first-choice goalkeeper, and it makes more sense to move Lloris on than to have him as a lurking shadow behind Vicario.

We understand Levy’s desire for a fee; after all, Lloris is still under contract until 2024.

However, after more than a decade of service and with his first-team position dwindling, perhaps waiving a transfer fee isn’t such a bad idea.
