Daniel Levy has identify 18-year-old Premier League striker as perfect Harry Kane replacement

Tottenham Hotspur have named Brighton’s Evan Ferguson as Harry Kane’s replacement.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Brighton & Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson as a potential replacement for Harry Kane, according to TalkSPORT (h/t Express).

The England international is nearing the end of his contract at Spurs and has been linked with a move away from the club, including to Manchester United. Spurs appear to be thinking about the future.

They appear to be after Ferguson in the event that Kane leaves. Even if he does not, there will come a time when we will have to consider life without the club’s all-time leading scorer.

However, this appears absurd to the fans right now. No offense to Ferguson, but the Irish youngster has been outstanding for Brighton this season and has earned a place in his country’s senior squad.

Pass.

He even played against France in his team’s 1-0 Euro 2024 qualifier defeat against France on March 27, demonstrating how far he has progressed since playing for the Seagulls’ youth team last season. The 1.83-meter-tall centre-forward appears to be a well-rounded player with finishing, dribbling, and physical ability that will improve with age.

But, if Kane leaves this summer and Ferguson takes over as captain next season, fans will be left wondering what is going on at the club. First and foremost, we must resolve our manager situation and find a long-term replacement for Antonio Conte.

Only then can we hope to sign Kane to a new contract. After that, we’ll have to see where we stand with the 29-year-old and whether he wants to stay and sign a new contract.

If not, we must look for a proven goal-scorer – someone young with plenty of top-level experience. Kane had his doubters when he was younger, but we are at a point in the club’s history where we cannot risk replacing Kane with Ferguson – at least not right now.
