Daniel Levy list out five possible summer signing as Thomas Frank tip to take new job

Thomas Frank is being mentioned as a top managerial candidate for the job at Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur are set for a summer of change following the dismissal of Antonio Conte at the weekend.

Thomas Frank is reportedly Daniel Levy’s early ‘favourite’ to take over on a permanent basis. Express Sport looks at five signings that the Brentford manager could pursue if he moves to Tottenham.

Ivan Toney’s

It’s difficult to imagine Brentford keeping Ivan Toney this summer, but Tottenham have similar concerns about Harry Kane’s future for next season. Tottenham will not have to look far for a replacement for Kane if he does decide to leave.

The 27-year-old has been scoring goals for fun now for several seasons with Frank helping mould him into a top-class striker. With the money Tottenham would potentially get from Kane’s sale, signing Toney would still leave plenty of change to bolster other areas of the squad.

David Raya

Tottenham’s top priority this summer will be to sign a goalkeeper, and David Raya has already been mentioned as a possible target. He currently leads the Premier League in saves and is commanding in the box when balls come in from wide areas.

The Spaniard will not be cheap, with Brentford well aware of interest from clubs across Europe. Frank, on the other hand, was the man who gave Raya a chance in the Premier League and could play a key role in Tottenham winning the battle for his signature if he takes over.

Kristoffer Ajer

Tottenham’s defense will also require an overhaul in the summer, with reports claiming that two centre-backs could be targeted. An experienced option will be required, but Tottenham are also looking for a young center-back, and Ajer, 24, has impressed as a back-up option for Brentford this season.

Mathias Jensen

Tottenham needs more creativity in midfield going forward, and Mathias Jensen would undoubtedly provide it. This season, the 27-year-old has added five Premier League goals to his tally, as well as four assists.

Mbeumo, Bryan

Tottenham’s lack of depth in attack has cost them dearly this season, with Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski both scoring only two goals. Mbeumo has demonstrated his ability with strong performances against both Manchester United and Liverpool, and he has formed an effective attacking partnership with Toney.
