Daniel Levy list out three star players to sign for Postecoglou after four years deal agreement

Ange Postecoglou is the next manager to take over at Tottenham Hotspur.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has been chosen by chairman Daniel Levy as his search for Antonio Conte’s permanent successor in North London comes to an end. The 57-year-old has a tough job ahead of him to right the ship after a turbulent season that saw Spurs finish eighth in the Premier League.

Work has already begun, and a number of possible transfer targets have been identified. With that in mind, Mirror Football looks at the team Postecoglou might field on the first day of the new season:

We begin with one of the most obvious changes Postecoglou needs to make to Spurs’ lineup – in goal. Hugo Lloris, the current club captain, is out of contract this summer and is expected to leave North London.

Even if the Frenchman decides to stay, Spurs will still need to make a change in goal. David Raya appears to be the most apparent possibility, with the Spaniard set to leave Brentford this summer and already on the North London club’s radar.

Moving into defense, the back four in Postecoglou’s favored 4-3-3 configuration could change. Recent additions Pedro Porro and Cristian Romero should keep their spots, despite some doubts about the former’s aptitude in a four.

Ben Davies, Spurs’ finest left-back, should continue to play regularly unless the club decides to replace him totally. The only difference is that he should be joined by Wolves sensation Max Kilman.

Following his steady performances at Molineux, the 26-year-old has recently surfaced as a target for the North London club. He still has three years left on his present contract, so retaining his services may not be cheap.

Spurs could recruit another Premier League star if they move into midfield. After Leicester were relegated to the Championship, James Maddison’s future with the club remains uncertain.

He is scheduled to leave the King Power Stadium after only one year on his deal, and Spurs are great fans of his abilities. It is expected that £40m will be enough to secure a deal for the former Norwich City man, though Newcastle may wish to get involved after their lengthy wooing.

Maddison should be aided by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Yves Bissouma, the two most obvious possibilities to play in midfield in the absence of Rodrigo Bentancur.

While Spurs fans will be looking for significant investment in attack, some may be content if everything looks the same as last season.Harry Kane has one year left on his contract and is being pursued by Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Daniel Levy is determined to keep him at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Postecoglou’s job will be made considerably simpler if the club’s record goalscorer remains.

Heung Min-Son and Dejan Kulusevski are the most obvious choices for each wing, although not reaching the heights of past campaigns last term. The latter is exclusively available on loan.
