According to writer Alasdair Gold, rumoured Tottenham Hotspur signing Manor Solomon will not have a medical today.
According to reports, Solomon will sign a five-year contract with Tottenham. Fabrizio Romano also said that the winger would have a physical today.
Despite this, Gold has stated that the medical will not take place as planned. The journalist used the new social networking app Threads to keep everyone up to date on Solomon’s future and medical condition.
“For those who are wondering, Manor Solomon’s medical at Spurs is not scheduled for today,” he explained.
Solomon spent last season on loan at Fulham and clearly impressed Spurs management enough to join the club this summer.
There is little doubt that the Spurs are close to signing Solomon, but until his physical is completed, there will be concerns that he will not sign.
This will be a problem because there may be issues when the medical is signed. The club will also aim to have the majority of their new recruits in place before the start of the season. They will be better prepared for the following campaign if they can sign players early.
Ange Postecoglou, the club’s new manager, has already signed James Maddison and a new goalie. Daniel Levy appears to be backing him up as the Spurs try to rebuild.
Solomon scored four Premier League goals in 19 appearances last season. Despite his poor goal total, the winger excelled in other parts of the game.
The team has some excellent strikers but could use additional squad depth. Solomon, a ‘class’ winger, appears to be the finest option to add some much-needed team depth.
