The Australian boss is looking for midfield reinforcements and has his sights set on Galatasaray’s Victor Nelsson.Since moving to Turkey in the summer of 2021, the 24-year-old has grown from strength to strength.

The Danish international has barely missed a beat and is being attentively watched by the English club. And they are now attempting to sign him before the start of the upcoming season.

The club has extended the 24-year-old defender’s contract through the summer of 2026. Given the amount of interest in his services, he is expected to be on the move during the current season.

Meanwhile, Erden Timur, the Turkish club’s vice-president, recently visited with Spurs, one of the clubs interested in signing Nelsson. And this is where Davinson Sánchez’s involvement in the agreement has resulted in the revised proposal.

Timur wants to have the 27-year-old at his team next season and wants him to be a part of a part exchange that will see Nelsson travel to London.

He is not aiming for a player swap deal, but rather a player plus cash deal, as the Denmark international is valued at roughly €25 million. Furthermore, the final worth of the transaction is estimated to be Sanchez plus cash.

The Colombian international has been inconsistent in recent seasons, and with his contract expiring in a year, they may be willing to let him go.
