Fabrizio Romano: five-year contract has been struck for the 23-year-old forward and medicals set in few days

They are now nearing an agreement with Israel winger Manor Solomon.According to Fabrizio Romano, a five-year contract has been agreed upon for the 23-year-old attacker, who scored five goals in 24 loan appearances at Fulham.

Fulham were apparently interested in making his contract permanent, but the Australian boss appears to have beaten them to the punch and secured the gifted youngster.

Meanwhile, Spurs are allegedly close to signing Micky van de Ven, a 22-year-old versatile back who played in all but one Bundesliga match for Wolfsburg last season. Liverpol were also interested in the player, but Tottenham appear to have won the race with a £30 million ($A57 million) bid.

Tottenham have also been linked with Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba, but the 24-year-old is significantly more expensive at £50 million, and Spurs are apparently unlikely to finance both players.

A deal for Barcelona center-back Clement Lenglet is far more plausible. He spent last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, and Barcelona president Joan Laporta stated this week that a permanent transfer is likely.

“I believe we will reach an agreement with Tottenham for Lenglet,” Laporta stated. This nearly never moves quickly. It is up to the other party.”

According to reports, a deal may cost as little as £5 million.

The destiny of England captain and Spurs star Harry Kane is the greatest transfer issue for Tottenham this month.

According to the Guardian, Spurs have made Kane a massive contract offer “that would significantly improve his £200,000-a-week terms.”

Spurs are still desperate to keep their star striker, who has a year left on his current deal and is being pursued by a slew of European clubs, including Bayern Munich, which has already had a €70 million bid rejected.

Kane is apparently still considering his future, and the Guardian believes that he will ‘definitely’ not sign a new contract “while the transfer window remains open.”

Kane is still on vacation and has yet to meet with Ange Postecoglou, who will do all in his power to persuade the soon-to-be 30-year-old to stay in North London.

However, Kane’s decision not to extend his contract during the off-season means Spurs and Postecoglou will be in limbo for the next several months – or will be forced to sell their star player before losing him on a free transfer next season.
